Fife Symington, a former governor of Arizona, has revealed he also saw a massive, black triangular craft pass overhead early on the evening of March 13, 1997 - one of the Phoenix Lights incidents.  He further stated he made unsuccessful queries to the military, but told no one at the time.  Shortly thereafter he held the infamous press conference which made "light" of the Phoenix Lights events.

Symington was under a criminal investigation connected to the failed Southwest Savings and Loan during his first term.  He was cleared and later reelected to a second term.  At the time of the Phoenix Lights he was under indictment for bank fraud.  He was later convicted and resigned as governor.   His conviction was overturned on appeal and he was pardoned by President Clinton before a second trial could be set.  Recently he has been trying to get back into politics.

PRG considers this a significant development.  No disgraced politician trying to make a comeback has ever publicly addressed the ET issue in a positive manner.  Why would he do this?  Is it possible a member from an established political family with many connections has been tipped off the status quo regarding extraterrestrial phenomena is about to take a dramatic turn?

Gary McKinnon Closer to Extradition

Gary McKinnon has lost his High Court fight against extradition to the US for allegedly carrying out the "biggest military computer hack of all time".  McKinnon, 41, is accused of gaining access to 97 US military and NASA computers.  British Home Secretary John Reid granted the US request to extradite him for trial. His lawyers had argued that, if extradited, he would face an unknown length of time in pre-trial detention, with no likelihood of bail.   He would also face a long prison sentence, "in the region of 45 years" and may not be allowed to serve part of the sentence at home in the UK.  Mr. McKinnon, arrested in November 2002, has always maintained that he was motivated by curiosity and only managed to get into the networks because of lax security.

McKinnon also claims he was looking for evidence and documents confirming government interest in and knowledge of extraterrestrial phenomena.  A year ago PRG Executive Director, Stephen Bassett, contacted the McKinnon defense team and offered to testify at a U.S. trial as an expert witness regarding the existence of a government truth embargo as well as the existence of classified documents regarding extraterrestrial-related phenomena.  T hat offer still stands.
