Paradigm Clock

The Paradigm Clock now in suspension was originally conceived in early 1996.  In order to put the clock in perspective, it was necessary to go back in time to 1947, the same year in which the “Doomsday Clock” was born, and assign time changes in relation to events over the intervening 50 years.  The key criteria in assessing an event was whether it brought the world closer to or further from formal disclosure of the extraterrestrial presence – 12 o’clock midnight.

The timeline moving toward the paradigm line should be viewed as asymptotic.

When the extraterrestrial presence about this planet is formally acknowledged by the primary institutions upon which the human race relies, capital “D” Disclosure will have taken place, the Paradigm Clock will have struck midnight, and a major portion of a world view that has held dominance for thousands of years will be discarded. This moment, midnight on the clock, constitutes a formless line in time and space. It exists in the minds of human beings and can be crossed in a single day by virtue of a formal announcement from the leaders of nations. This could happen without warning or following a graduated process of small “d” disclosure built strategically upon scientific announcements and political events.

The “pre-paradigm” (pre-Disclosure) refers to the years immediately preceding this formal disclosure process. This period began upon the earth in 1947. In that year the general public was introduced on a large scale to the presence of vehicles in the skies – and perhaps the remains of one on the ground – vehicles which could not be explained by our science and technology. Confirmed events during this period move the Paradigm Clock closer to or further away from midnight. For a compilation of these events, go to the Time Change Chronicle.

It is the “post-paradigm” (“post-Disclosure”) years immediately following formal Disclosure that is the primary concern of this website. The extraordinary 70-year citizen science and political movement has thus far been principally about “learning” and “persuading.” It has been a pageant of books, lectures, slide shows, privately funded research, hoaxes, misguided zealotry, quasi-religion, and much more. It was conducted with little assistance from the government, the press, academia or the church. It was the pure product of a free citizenry and perhaps the finest example of how a constitutional republic can provide the means to overcome extreme intransigence by the state.

It is now time to move on to the “knowing.” But the act of knowing is only the beginning of what is truly important, namely once the human race knows, what will it do, how will it act, how will it incorporate this new world view? When to begin addressing these matters is before the clock strikes midnight, not after. Failure to bring resources to bear on the issues of the coming post-paradigm will have consequences. To err is human, to procrastinate more human. There is time to become societally proactive, but that time grows short.

As we get closer to the paradigm line, there are an increasing number of impacting events coming closer together. These are listed in a Time Change Chronicle.

By reviewing these retroactive changes one can get a sense of the relationship of certain types of events to the probability and pace of transition.  Each event was accompanied by and explanation. Several factors should be considered:

  • the citizen science movement regarding UFOs since 1947 has been a Sisyphean task. The mountain of resistance has made forward progress slow and difficult, losing ground easy and compounded.  For this reason regressive events have greater time effects away from 12 midnight.
  • the act of Disclosure is political, it is not strictly science, which is about discovery – not the same. For this reason the Paradigm Clock is quite sensitive to all things impacting general public awareness as well as decisions by institutions outside of the cloistered scientific groupings.

Numerous events which certainly had the power to move the clock prior to April 30, 1998 were initially left out by the necessities of space and clarity, but may be refined at a later time. However, after 1998 all events that in the opinion of the author move the clock were posted.

Later in 2018 PRG plans to reconstitute the Paradigm Clock and reset the time relative to the prevailing circumstance.
